LOCATION: The Museum's ENTRANCE gate is at the East end of 9th Street. The Museum is adjacent to the tracks of the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway, in downtown Wichita Falls, Texas. Our street address is 500 9th Street. (This is not a mailing address)

OPERATING HOURS: The Museum is open:
Normal Hours - 11:00 till 3:00pm Saturdays (Gates close at 2:30pm)
Though our typical season is April thru October, the Museum does endeavor to be open year-round weather permitting.
INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTE: If the temperature OR chill factor is below 40 degrees Fahrenheit or there is precipitation falling, or forecast to fall, the museum may not open or may close early. If the weather is inclement, call before coming. For safety concerns, If it is Raining, the Museum is closed, but our gift shop is "usually" open. Call First !!!
ADMISSION CHARGES: There is a Two Dollar ($2.00) admission charge for each individual three years of age and older. Children two and younger get in free. Members also get in free with a valid Membership ID card.
MEMBERSHIP : Membership to the WFRRM is available for Twenty US Dollars - $20.00 per Family, living under the same roof. Membership is for adults age 18 and over.Members receive complimentary Museum admission, as well as kiddie train and pump car rides when available. Members also receive WFRRM Newsletters, invitations to special programs, and voting privileges at the annual meeting.

TAX STATUS: The Wichita Falls Railroad Museum is recognized as a non-profit charitable organization under Section 501c(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code; all donations are fully tax deductible.
SPECIAL EVENTS: The Museum is available for birthday parties, group or school tours, and other special events. For scheduling, pricing, or other information, please contact us by phone or e-mail several days in advance of the planned event.
DURING YOUR VISIT: Please be Safety Minded and be familiar with our Safety Rules:1. Children must be kept in your group and not allowed to run free
2. No Running
3. No Smoking in any train car or building
4. Do not climb on the outside of any train car or locomotive

VOLUNTEERS: Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Volunteers are used to help refurbish cars, photograph and video tape events, run the kiddie train and pump car, man special events and tours, provide general maintenance, and serve as members of the advisory committee and Board of Trustees. If you would be interested in becoming a volunteer for the WFRRM please note your interest on your membership application.
